- 1 pound bowtie or fusilli pasta
- 1, 15-ounce container Frigo® Ricotta Cheese (part-skim or whole)
- 1 cup prepared pasta sauce or marinara sauce
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 4 ounces (1/4, 1-pound package) Frigo® Mozzarella Cheese, shredded
Directions
Cook the pasta in a pot of boiling salted water according to the package directions. Drain it in a colander, shaking once or twice to drain completely. Then, return the hot pasta to the cooking pot.
Stir in the Frigo® Ricotta Cheese, pasta sauce and basil. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Transfer the mixture to a microwave-safe casserole dish. Sprinkle the shredded Frigo® Mozzarella Cheese evenly over the pasta.
Microwave on high power until the Frigo® Mozzarella Cheese topping is melted, 1 ½ to 2 minutes. Serve hot.
